Updated: Sep 11, 2022

Date: 06 September 2022, Tuesday

Topic: Orientation + Rocket Experiment

Just like the last meeting, we started off with playing "I Am Ground."

Everyone chose one of the elements' names from the periodic table and played the game together.

Then, we learned how the Rocket Experiment works.

[PPT slides explaining the experiment.]

We went outside to try the actual experiment.

We conducted the experiment using:

- Rocket template

- Baking Soda

- Citric Acid

- Water

- Beaker

- Balloons

[Yunseo (RS12), Maria( RS10), and Sean (LS7) are inputting the mixture of baking soda and citric acid into water.]

The steps of the experiment are following:

  1. Mix citric acid and baking soda

  2. Fill 1/4 of the rocket

  3. Input the mixture into the rocket

  4. Quickly place the rocket to its launcher and observe it explode.

After the experiment, we all went inside the science room and had an orientation about our new roles and future plans. Then, we had a short quiz session.
